The nights are getting chilly and it’s starting to get darker earlier and earlier as summer comes to an end. Fall is just around the corner. Which means Winter is not far behind. So, yesterday we shared There was a chubby snowman poem and today we are sharing another winter favorite; Once There was a Snowman.
This song is an action and movement song. One that will get your students up and moving during those cold winter days.
The song goes like this:

The actions to the song are super cute and fun.
Once There Was a Snowman
Snowman, snowman
(Stand up and make shape of snowman with body)
Once There Was a Snowman
Tall, tall, tall.
(stand on tippy toes and reach up as high to the sky as possible)
In the sun he melted, melted, melted
(Start to slowly shrink down as if you are melting)
In the sun he melted
small, small, small.
(end up in a ball where you tuck your head in and wrap your arms around your legs)
