Looking for a new tradition for Thanksgiving?? Or trying to teach your children to be more grateful?? Check out this DIY Gratitude Tree you’re going to love!!
I love being a mom. I love being a mom because my children always ask me questions that I forget to ask myself like
What is your favorite season?
What do the leaves look like to you as they fall off the trees?
Where do the fairies live when the snow falls?
So the question to you is this…
What makes fall magical to you??
I don’t know about you but I absolutely adore fall!! And October!! And Thanksgiving!! I love the feeling of the magic that comes as the world starts to quiet and slow down and the leaves change to beautiful bright majestic colors and then slowly fall to the ground creating a scene that feels like you are living in a movie.
Now you are probably thinking wait a second!! October is not Thanksgiving!! But if you live in the Land of the cold it absolutely is!!
I think it has something to do with our crops being frozen if we don’t start using them now. I’m not entirely sure…
But what I am positively sure about is this adorable DIY Gratitude Tree that you need to make for your fam jam!!!
So with the leaves quickly falling run outside and find a fallen branch that you can use to create your own DIY Gratitude Tree.
That’s all you need!! A fallen branch that has some twigs that come off the sides of it.
Okay maybe you need some twine, scissors, a cute little container, and our printable!!
Once you have your branch all you have to do is place it in a cute little container where your tree can stand up and place it somewhere that it can be seen as Thanksgiving approaches.
Pretty simple right?? Now all you have to do is cut out those leaves, take a hole punch and make a hole to add some twine. so that your leaves can all hang from your tree!!
Now grab a marker and your fam jam and start to write down all the things that all yall are grateful for.
Rather than having a bare tree you will quickly find that your leaves bring some color and warmth to your once bare little tree.
And if your family is anything like mine the more things you start to say you are grateful for the more ideas that will come!!
From our family to yours we wish you the happiest of Thanksgivings!!
